The Taittinger Regatta is an amazing weekend of competitive racing, sunshine and champagne. 
The Taittinger Regatta is hosted by the Royal Solent Yacht Club and is staged out of Yarmouth in the Western Solent. In addition to the great racing programme, the regatta has a reputation in providing one of the most vibrant social scenes for any regatta in the Solent. 
What the regatta involves:
  • Charter of a high quality First 40, Winston, for the weekend of 4 - 6th July
  • Professional skipper provided 
  • Optional training day on Friday 4th July
  • Up to 11 guests onboard
  • Full waterproof gear and safety kit
  • No sailing experience required
  • Some onboard accommodation available 

Itinerary

Friday 4th July

0830hrs - Arrival for optional training day

1800hrs - Arrive for 2 day yacht charter if optional training day not selected. Depart for Cowes or Yarmouth, or prep boat for early departure Saturday morning. 

Saturday 5th July 

A.M. - Depart for Yarmouth

Full racing programme set by Royal Solent Yacht Club around the Western Solent. 

P.M. Further racing, followed by optional 'Towers' part in Yarmouth. 

Sunday 6th July 

A.M. Morning race programme. 

P.M. Return to Port Solent Marina and depart. 

Pricing options

  • Taittinger Regatta for a team of up to 10

    Cost: £2,300 + VAT for 2 day option, with skipper
    £3,295 + VAT for 3 day option, to include Friday training, with skipper
    First mate available at £240 + VAT per day

    Charter Period: 2 Day Option
    1600hrs Friday 4th July - 1700hrs Sunday 6th July 2025
    3 day Option
    0830hrs Friday 4th July - 1700hrs Sunday 6th July 2025

    What's Included:

     

    • First 40 yacht, Winston, a competitive IRC rated yacht

    • Professional skipper

    • Full waterproof gear
    • Race sails and spinnakers
    • Up to 11 guest places onboard

    • Optional first mate, at additional cost (reduces guest places to 10)

    • Fuel, engine hours and all safety equipment

     

    Exclusions

    • Catering is not included

    • Race entry and berthing is not included and should be booked directly with the RSYC

    Experience needed: No previous experience is needed for our skippered packages.
