About Prometheus Sailing

Prometheus Sailing is the proactive yacht management company behind the Prometheus Sailing UK fleet of charter sailing yachts. Led by MD Simon Boulding together with his highly experienced team, who between them have over 90 years experience at running highly professional:

  • yacht charters
  • flotilla sailing
  • corporate racing events
  • RYA sea school training

Having headed up Sunsail’s Port Solent based operations for 7 years, Prometheus Sailing was set up in 2021 as the time was right for the team to take over ownership and management of the fleet.

Our name Prometheus Sailing was inspired by the Greek god Prometheus. His role in Greek mythology was to bring knowledge and civilisation to mankind.

We operate the largest sailing school in the UK, teaching many people to sail each year. Also we introduce and teach many people to enjoy sailing through our corporate sailing activities. From this our company name was born.
