Prometheus Sailing Purchases Sunsail’s UK Operation

Following a strategic review by global charter company Sunsail, Prometheus Sailing Ltd has purchased the UK Sailing business of Sunsail. 

The purchase included the fleet of 12 brand new Jeanneau 410s, which joined the Sunsail fleet in Port Solent in 2020, along with other assets of the business.  Prometheus Sailing Ltd has also been granted exclusive rights to deliver all Sunsail branded sailing activities in the UK.

Prometheus Sailing has already delivered exciting and innovative sailing opportunities in 2021, including its new UK Sunsail Flotillas. The flotillas proved to be extremely popular, selling out within weeks of launch and will feature in Prometheus’ 2022 sailing opportunities.

Prometheus will continue to offer a range of other, exciting Sunsail branded sailing activities in the UK, including staycation charter holidays, RYA sailing school courses, matched fleet racing at Cowes Week and other events, industry regattas and hospitality events.

The fleet of Jeanneau 41.0 yachts is the most modern fleet of charter yachts in the UK and one of the most modern in the world.
