The Prometheus Sailing "Great Charity Sailing Giveaway"

Prometheus Sailing Launches the Great Charity Sailing Give Away 2026

Prometheus Sailing is the leading yacht charter and sailing event organiser in the UK and works with many charities to stage a wide range of successful charity fundraising sailing events.

These events raise over £100,000 for charities every year, with Prometheus Sailing providing a no obligation, full event management, service to their charity partners, making a charity sailing event hassle free and risk free. Neither the charity fundraising staff, nor the participants in the charity sailing event need to know anything about sailing, with Prometheus Sailing providing expert guidance from start to finish.

As a brand new benefit for charities for 2026, Prometheus Sailing is engaging in a unique sailing give away, the likes of which has never been seen before in the UK sailing, charity or corporate event markets.

Simon Boulding, Managing Director of Prometheus Sailing, commented:

"We help many charities raise money through the sport of sailing each year and we want to support more charities and spread the word about how we can help charities during these challenging times to use sailing as a new and innovative way to raise valuable funds for their charity in 2026 and beyond. Our 'Great Charity Sailing Give Away 2026' forms part of this message and is the largest such initiative ever launched by a sailing business in the UK."

The format of the 'Great Charity Sailing Give Away 2026' is simple. Prometheus Sailing has up to 20 sailing days, worth over £50,000 to give away to up to 20 charities for use in 2026 and beyond.

3 of these sailing days* will be given away in a free charity draw, with the 3 winners drawn at random from all those charities that have registered with us by 1700hrs on 16th December 2025. The draw will take place on 17th December and the lucky charities will be informed before close of play on Friday 19th December, giving great news to the winning charities before Christmas.

The remaining charity sailing days will be given away to charities that launch a new, charity sailing event with us in 2026*. These additional charity sailing days can be used as auction prizes or staff and supporter sailing days to reward charity staff and/or private or corporate supports of the charity.

The 3 free sailing days will include:

  • A complimentary one day charter of one of Prometheus Sailing's modern, matched fleet of Jeanneau 410 yachts, with space for up to 8 guests, to be taken on a week day during the months of April - October 2026.
  • 2 friendly and knowledgeable professional crew members, who will provide all safety briefings and tuitions for guests.
  • All safety equipment and wet weather gear.
  • Berthing in Port Solent Marina.

The remaining free sailing days will include the same benefits, but would have a validity up to 12 months from the date of any charity auction at which the sailing day was auctioned off.
