The Drinks Trade Regatta & Fundraising Event

The Drinks Trade Regatta is an annual sailing event for the hospitality trade. Brewing, wines and spirits companies compete with on trade retailers, restaurants and suppliers for a memorable and fun team working and hospitality event.

Held on the iconic sailing waters of the Solent, more than £110,000 has been raised over the past 7 years for various charities thanks to the teams that participate.

Regatta schedule

Pick up your yacht from our Port Solent base the afternoon of 17th May 2024. This is a great chance for a quick practice before heading over to Cowes for an evening meal at the prestigious Royal Yacht Squadron. A great opportunity to meet and network with industry professionals, but also a chance to see who the competition is!

After a full days racing on the Saturday, we head back into Cowes for another great evening in Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC).

Two days of close one design racing will then determine the overall winner, who will be announced at the prize giving back at Port Solent on the Sunday afternoon.

Yacht charter packages 

Price From £2,350 + VAT per yacht (+ £1,000 charity donation)

Package for the Drinks Trade Regatta 2023 includes:

• Charter of a Sunsail 41.0 from 13:00 Friday 17 May to 16:30, Sunday 19 May
• Space for up to 10 people onboard
• Prize giving with tea & cakes on the Sunday afternoon
• Berthing in Cowes
• Race Management
• Fuel and engine hours;
• Wet weather gear

N.B. Dinners at RORC and Royal Yacht Squadron are charged separately

Head out to the Solent for afternoon practise before mooring up at Cowes Yacht Haven

1900               Dinner at Royal Yacht Squadron

0800                Skippers’ briefing at the Committee Boat in Cowes Yacht Haven            

1030                Race 1 followed by race 2

Lunch on the hoof

1300                 Races 3 & 4

1700                 Moor up at Cowes Yacht Haven
