Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix

Sail GP is coming back to the UK and will once again be staged in Portsmouth on the weekend of 25-26th July 2026. 

Join us for front row seats on the water to watch 12 x F50 catamarans race at speeds of up to 100 km/h on the Solent, against the back drop of the Spinnaker Tower and Southsea Castle.

Sail GP is raced in 14 destinations around the world, with 12 teams competing to become the Sail GP 2026 champion. 

The spectacular F50 foiling catamarans are based on the AC50s but have been adapted to create higher speeds, but also higher wind speed tolerances that allow racing to take place in stronger breezes. 

Prometheus Sailing is offering exclusive hospitality packages to watch the racing on our fleet of modern 410 luxury yachts. We offer places for individuals or small groups and families on our yachts and also exclusive whole yacht charters for groups of up to 8 people (or 10 for a bareboat charter).

All our packages include professional crew to safely guide you through the day and a hearty packed lunch and soft drinks to enjoy while out on the water. All safety equipment and wet weather gear is included. 

Itinerary - Sailing and Spectating - Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July 2026

0930hrs:  Arrive at Port Solent Marina and meet your skipper and mate for boat familiarisation and safety briefing. 

1015hrs:  Depart Port Solent for a tour of Portsmouth Harbour, passing the Royal Navy Dockyard, Spinnaker Tower and the Sail GP base, before heading out into the Solent to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy some sailing on your luxury yacht. 

1230hrs:  Enjoy a hearty packed lunch and soft drinks onboard your yacht. 

1330hrs (Exact timing TBC) Watch the spectacular F50s race in the Portsmouth Sail GP event in an afternoon of high adrenaline racing. 

1630hrs:  Return to Port Solent and depart at leisure.
