Our 5-Day Mile Builders Course helps you work on your personal sailing goals on the water. The benefits of doing the training include:

• Gain confidence on the water while building your sailing skills through accumulated sea miles.

5-Day Mile Builders Course Details

This yacht-mile-building training doesn’t just increase your sea miles. It’s an adventure that provides valuable preparation time for your next RYA qualification. It provides you with important information and countless opportunities to practice essential skills. You’ll cover aspects such as:

• Sailing preparation

• Night sailing

• Passage planning

• Navigation

• Sailing practice drills

• Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster - Theory

You can book this mile-building sailing course to fit your schedule, making a long weekend out of it if you like. This course can be booked for group trips, be it family, friends or colleagues. It’s often a great way to practice teamwork while spending quality time. 

If you’re looking for something shorter, mile-building weekends could be an ideal choice for you. Similar to the 5-day course, you’d spend the weekend sailing one of our boats with an instructor and other sailors to improve your experience level.

Whichever option you choose, we’ll track your new nautical miles for you via our yacht’s GPS.

Our trips for practical courses are priced based on seasonality:

• Off-peak (1st November – 31st March): £735pp

• Peak Season (1st April – 31st October): £785pp

Minimum experience 

Anyone can join this mile-building course at our Port Solent base to develop their sailing skills. Simply check for available dates that suit your schedule, then book your spot. 

Age Requirements

We offer sailing experience to everyone, starting from older children (16+) who are accompanied by an adult (18+). This applies to all of our practical sailing courses throughout the year.
