The fleet: our Jeanneau Sunsail 41.0 Yachts are the newest and most modern in the UK. With excellent headroom, comfortable double bunks and plenty of space below and above deck, they are ideal for both novice and more experienced sailors.

The location: Port Solent Marina has excellent facilities and, positioned well inside Portsmouth Harbour, it offers sheltered nights alongside and the opportunity to sail safely even in bigger winds. The busy naval port is a great place for gaining confidence in a busy environment while further up there are opportunities for sailing and night pilotage in the quiet of Fareham Lake. Once out into the Solent there are boundless possibilities – passages to Cowes, Southampton, Lymington and Yarmouth are always popular and with Chichester Harbour to the east there’s no shortage of destinations.

The instructors: for many years Sunsail has had a flourishing instructor development programme and we are rightly proud of the calibre and kindness of our staff. Knowledge of and enthusiasm for the sport is paramount when we choose our staff. With us you can go from first steps to qualified instructor safe in the knowledge that a Prometheus Skipper will be alongside you, teaching and coaching you along your journey.

Flexibility: with our large fleet and wide pool of instructors we take great care to find the course and skipper that is right for you. A taster day? No problem. Yachtmaster mile building? Of course. A fun family weekend? Absolutely. Give us a ring and we can tailor a course to suit you, and even include an RYA qualification when appropriate. You can book a whole boat for you and your friends, but if you want to come on your own than that’s fine too – most people do and because we match you with people of a similar standard you’ll have a great time meeting new people.
